New project artist Kawther Luay, who has returned to Deveron Projects for The Gathering Table, joined us for lunch to talk about the inspiration behind her project. She shared with us the theory of Relational Aesthetics – a term coined by art critic Nicolas Bourriaud – and a timeline of global food-inspired art that created a movement towards collective experience of cooking, eating, sharing and simply coming together around a table of food.
