The Gordon Schools Care Group is a group of young people who come together once a week to gain insight into experiences that wouldn't normally be offered at school. In the past they have made 3D prints of their heads so that they could be transferred into a computer game built with RGU Art Bus, visited areas around Aberdeenshire to create a photo and sound exhibition that was attended by the Director of Education, made hot chocolate using kelly kettles and worked closely with Deveron Projects to create natural tie dye ink to colour materials. They spoke to us about some of their most beloved experiences!

Lunch by Kawther Luay: tomato pasta bake, green salad with wild garlic & lemon dressing, chocolate cake

About Friday Lunch
The sharing of food is a great leveller. Every other Friday, we invite people to speak about topics that relate to art, ecology, birds, politics or many other threads of Huntly life. At 1pm our team, along with artists and whoever else wants to join us, have lunch together and get involved in this sharing of knowledge. All are welcome to join – just turn up on the day! We have a donations pot at this event, and suggest a donation of £2 which goes towards the cost of ingredients and any access needs for the speaker.

Home Programme
This event is part of the Home Programme, a series of regular community events taking place at Deveron Projects programmed by our Art & Community Worker. The Home Programme celebrates local knowledge and experience, and explores what it's like to live and work in and around Huntly. It includes Friday Lunch, as well as the monthly Food Chain cookery workshop, Art Club and stall at the Huntly Farmers' Market. If you'd like to contribute to the Home Programme, or know someone who you'd love to hear from, fill out the form below with their name(s) and what they do! Form link also available here.
