Come along to the Square Deal garden to make a soothing and nourishing cream that can be used on the face or hands with Garden Residency artist and herbalist, Ju Scott. We’ll be using herbs grown in the Brander Garden and will learn about their traditional healing properties. We’ll also learn about the methods and processes that take us from plant to product.
Solidarity is central to Ju's practice, including workshops like this. To build solidarity into this workshop, every participant will make a cream to take away themselves and will also make 2 other creams to be distributed to members of Numero Uno, a group of people with complex needs and their carers that Ju has been working with throughout their residency.
This event forms part of Ju Scott's Garden Residency in the Brander Garden, Huntly. Throughout September, Ju will be sharing unknown and unheard aspects of the garden, including the properties of the plants living within. For more information about Ju's Garden Residency see the project page.

Accessibility
The Square Deal Garden is located behind Square Deal at 22 The Square, Huntly. Weather permitting, this workshop will take place outside so please wear appropriate clothing.
The Square Deal garden has level access along a 20m paved path. Access is via the alley to the left of Square Deal – follow the signs on the day. There is an accessible toilet available in Square Deal (also level access).
