As part of the Square Meal chef residency, Kawther Luay invited the community to take part in two foraging walks. We were gathering to walk and talk, sharing knowledge about what wild foods are available and paying close attention to our local larder, the movement of seasons and discovering new tastes.
The walks took place on 22nd and 29th June from 6pm. We met outside Square Deal and set off on a wander around Huntly and its hinterlands.
Note: We are not professional foragers. These walks functioned as a sharing of knowledge and discussion, and expertise could not be guaranteed. Participants were responsible for their own (and their children's) safety.
