Our August Food Chain cookery workshop celebrated local produce, with Insch-based farmer and chef Rosie Leagas who runs Wantonwells Farm. Rosie had chosen to share a recipe for a delicious dish: Venison Stroganoff, with a mushroom option for the vegetarians! Whilst we were cooking we were thinking about under-utilised food we could be eating more of and what delicious ingredients are growing around our local areas.
This event took place in the run up to the Huntly Hairst, a time where local food, producers, skills and knowledge is celebrated. Check out our other events we have going on, including Friday Lunch with Rhynie-based Copper Fox Brewery, a climate themed story writing workshop and a Huntly Climate Ceilidh!
