About Friday Lunch
The sharing of food is a great leveller. On the second and fourth Friday of the month, we invite people to speak about topics that relate to art, ecology, birds, politics or many other threads of Huntly life. At 1pm our team, along with artists and whoever else wants to join us, have lunch together and get involved in this sharing of knowledge. All are welcome to join – just turn up on the day! We have a donations pot at this event, and suggest a donation of £2 which goes towards the cost of ingredients and any access needs for the speaker. More info can be found below the programme of speakers.
Friday 26th January: Fi Thomson – Strategies for Resilience
Fi Thomson works with Huntly's Networks of Wellbeing, an organisation which promotes and supports people in improving their mental health and wellbeing. Join us to for a discussion about what resilience means for different people, how it can be be cultivated in our communities, and the importance of safe spaces.

Friday 9th February: Atlantic Salmon Trust – Project Deveron
Come along to this Friday Lunch to hear about the Atlantic Salmon Trust and Deveron, Bogie & Isla Rivers Trust collaboration on Project Deveron – a new catchment-scale salmon restoration initiative, which aims to benefit other wildlife as well as local communities.

Friday 23rd February: Catherine Whiteman – Letterpress Printing
Learn about the exciting analogue world of letterpress printing with wooden and metal typefaces as used since the 15th century in Europe. Catherine Whiteman will demonstrate letterpressing with an Adana 5×3, which lives with Deveron Projects, and share some of her own letterpress work made in her studio at Oldmeldrum.

Location, food, donations and accessibility
This event takes places in Square Deal, 22 The Square, Huntly.
Our food is always vegetarian or vegan. We have a donations pot at this event, and suggest a donation of £2 which goes towards the cost of ingredients and any access needs for the speaker. It is completely optional to donate, with the £2 being only a guideline; if you'd like to donate less or more, that's very welcome too!
If you have any dietary requirements we should know of or other accessibility requirements, for example if you'll require a highchair, if you'd like to get a heads up about how busy the talk will be, or if you'd like to know what the food will be, contact our Art & Community Worker Misa on misa@deveron-projects.com.

Home Programme
This event is part of the Home Programme, a series of regular community events taking place at Deveron Projects programmed by our Art & Community Worker. The Home Programme celebrates local knowledge and experience, and explores what it's like to live and work in and around Huntly. It includes Friday Lunch, as well as the monthly Food Chain cookery workshop and stall at the Huntly Farmers' Market. If you'd like to contribute to the Home Programme, or know someone who you'd love to hear from, fill out the form below with their name(s) and what they do! Form link also available here.
