This workshop has been postponed – details to be announced soon, keep an eye out!
It’s time to top up the compost heaps in the Brander Garden again!
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced gardener, join us for a compost workshop with our gardener in residence Lindy Young to celebrate all things compostable as part of our ‘Caretaker’s Garden’ project.
As well as gathering as much material as possible, to build a huge hot heap, we will be considering how best to compost in a limited space and what to do with all the weeds! The workshop will start in the Brander Garden with family friendly activities and mud-themed refreshments. We will then have a practical session at the Square Deal Garden, setting up a new compost system for this more limited space.
This workshop is free to attend – all tools, materials and cuppas provided. Families and children very welcome with supervision.
If you have a bag of garden waste (as long as there is no soil attached or seed heads), cardboard, seaweed, straw, wool, old natural fibres or anything else that can be composted, please bring it along so we can make the compost heap bigger! If you are unsure what can be composted, give us a shout.
Please email info@deveron-projects.com, phone 01466 794494 or drop by our office in the Brander Building / Huntly Library (access via the white gate at the top of McVeagh Street) to book a spot.
