Named after the former residents of the caretaker's flat at the Brander Building (now the Deveron Projects office!), Caretakers' Garden, led by gardener Lindy Young is one of our current projects that is exploring how we can build sustainable systems of care in the Brander and Square Deal gardens, for the benefit of current and future inhabitants. Join us for Friday Lunch this week to find out about the project, how you can become a volunteer Garden Caretaker, and even take part in some future garden planning yourself!

Lunch: Sweet potato and lentil curry with spiced rice, and vanilla cheesecake.

About Friday Lunch
The sharing of food is a great leveller. Every other Friday, we invite people to speak about topics that relate to art, ecology, birds, politics or many other threads of Huntly life. At 1pm our team, along with artists and whoever else wants to join us, have lunch together and get involved in this sharing of knowledge. All are welcome to join – just turn up on the day! We have a donations pot at this event, and suggest a donation of £2 which goes towards the cost of ingredients and any access needs for the speaker. More info can be found below the programme of speakers.

Home Programme
This event is part of the Home Programme, a series of regular community events taking place at Deveron Projects programmed by our Art & Community Worker. The Home Programme celebrates local knowledge and experience, and explores what it's like to live and work in and around Huntly. It includes Friday Lunch, as well as the monthly Food Chain cookery workshop and a stall at the Huntly Farmers' Market.
