For the last six years we've been watching the White Wood grow through the seasons and weathers from seed to sapling, acting as a living monument to peace. We've seen the grasses grow and die back, the trees make root, and the leaves poke through. What have your memories been of the White Wood? How can we continue to help it grow over the next 300 years? Caroline arrived back to Huntly, six years after the planting of the Wood, and joined us for a Memory Walk to the White. We were using the walk as a place to share memories, thoughts and stories of past, and hopes or ideas for possible futures.
Our chef in residence Kawther Luay provided delicious oak flour pies and blackcurrant muffins to keep everyone going!
The walk took place on Sunday 30th May, 2-5pm and participants could join us physically or digitally via YouTube Livestream.
