To celebrate 25 years of creative-critical social intervention, and to herald the next phase of Deveron Projects, we were hosting a bunch of on and offine events.
Our celebrations consisted of feasting, talks and fun with Neep & Okra at Home goodies and much more.
Friday 4th December
Our Friday Lunch for our Birthday week was lead by David Blyth and Julia Douglas, two of our very first Artists in Residence.
Saturday 5th December
The December Farmers' Market! We cut a special birthday cake, made by our Honesty Bakehouse bakers Kate and Christine, there was a community timeline to add to with memories of past and propositions for the future, and we were joined, both digitally and physically, by our then artists in residence Caroline Wendling and Lizabett Russo.
Saturday 11am – Sunday night
Everyone near or far can watch a film of Claudia Zeiske taking us through a powerpoint of the last 25 years of Deveron Projects. Featured in this 4.5 hours (or so) film with some 550 images will be every project that has been created here. Dip in and out as you feel – find it on Youtube!

Sunday 6th December
To culminate our Birthday weekend, we were hosting a big digital Lunch with many previous artists, funders, staff and community members from the past 25 years. Our local global kitchen Neep & Okra and the Honesty Bakehouse were providing everyone with a lunch box to cook a bountiful meal; musicians and artists treated us to performances.
If you'd like to share the celebration, you can still cook with your own herbs and spices using Neep & Okra's recipes and shopping list.
