The Neep & Okra Kitchen’s creative practitioner Kawther Luay is volunteering her time to host a series of online cookery and writing workshops to mark the annual observance of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection and community.
These online cook-alongs offer a unique virtual space to connect, cook and share experiences of food with our guest chefs, interspersed with creative conversations and writing reflections with writer Lynnda Wardle.
The recipe of the day will be provided prior to the sessions so that you can gather your ingredients ahead of time. Any writing produced can be submitted to the Neep & Okra blog.
The fifth and final event will be an ‘open mic night’ feast marking Eid Al-Fitr on Sat 23rd May, showcasing food and writing produced during the month.
These workshops are open to everyone whether you observe Ramadan or not.
No writing experience necessary!
Every Saturday from 6pm
25th Apr – 23rd May
