Delve deep into the region of Levant with this delightful fried snack. Kubba can be traced back to its roots
in the Middle East, with unique versions of it found in Cyprus, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Iraq.

Kubba consists of dough made using potatoes, bulgar wheat, meat and onions that is rolled into ball shaped croquettes, filled with more meat subtly spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and allspice. Sunk into soups, laid on beds of fresh rice and herbs, stuffed into pitta bread, or enjoyed simply on their own as a snack, these delicious morsels are the epitome of comfort food.

The time consuming process of preparing kubba is often shared amongst friends and family members, which offers a chance to bond, chat things over and connect before the hosting processions begin.

Join us to taste and discover this communal and delightful dish.
This workshop will source fairtrade ingredients where possible, as part of the Fairtrade Fortnight.
